Please?? Can we keep her??The kittens are now somewhere around 4 weeks old. They seem to be developing a little slower than the other kittens.
Fluffiness = Cuteness
The kittens don't explore too much yet, even though they know how to walk. Some of this may be due to the fact that Cali is a very overprotective mother. She tries to keep the kittens in the nest. Whenever they venture, she "tries" to bring them back. I say "tries" because, as she is so tiny, she can no longer pick them up. Instead, she tends to bite them on the nape of their neck and drag them about four steps. She then drops them and tries it all over again. Sometimes the kittens clue into what's going on and scamper off between attempts!
A handful that really is "a handful"!!
The "nest" is no longer is the nice little basket that we have prepared for the family. A week ago, the brood and their mother decided to move the nest to right beside my side of the bed.

I have to be careful getting out of bed at night not to step on anyone. You would think that of all the "safe" places in our room (i.e. under the bed, in the closet), they could have chosen somewhere with a slight less chance of become smooshed by a human in a midnight trance on her way to the bathroom!!
